Ouch! That bites.
Realized over the course of this past year that helping others tends to hinder yourself - therefore I have been more and more selective of those I help. In studio it tended to be the case that helping someone with something would put you in a worse position than they started in, so it was often a good decision to just be too busy to help in those situations. I also have found that the more you help someone (as well as the more you are willing to forgive someone) the more of a doormat you become.
I WILL NOT BE A DOORMAT.
(okay ... all caps may seem a bit dramatic ... )

Wanted to see Howie Day at Summerfest tonite - plans fell through. Met some friends by the lake to see the fireworks, instead. Played leap-frog. It was a good time. Then came home to my piano. I was reminded last night why I don't play the piano for other people - they will only make you feel sucky. It's okay though - because I really enjoy being insecure with my "talent".

Came home from the weekend to blinking clocks and fruit flies...
